Position Title:  Fiscal Manager

Position Type: Full time (37.5 hrs per week)
Location: Guerneville, CA
Salary Range: $50K-$55K DOE plus a generous benefits package
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all the day-to-day accounting processes including but not limited to cash receipts, accounts payable, provider pay, payroll, grant and contract reporting and managing the agencies benefits. Assists the Executive Director with organizational and all program budgets and other miscellaneous tasks as needed to ensure that the agency is operating according to all related regulations for a nonprofit corporation in the State of California and other programs and is fiscally sound. Working with the supervisors’ team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices for approval of the Executive Director and Board. This position also interacts with the Finance committee as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
1. In charge of all the day-to-day accounting functions such as cash receipts entry, accounts payable processing, payroll journal entry.
2. Manages the Agency’s budget as well as Department Program budgets and monitor the organizations cash flow in coordination with the Executive Director. Prepares budgets for grant applications. Completes budget revisions as necessary.
3. Prepares the paperwork for the IRS, Franchise Tax Board, Attorney General and any other regulatory policies are being followed. Maintains revenue reports in regards to all IRS regulations.
4. Enacts sound policies and procedures that safeguard the Agency’s assets and ensures compliance with all funding source regulations including data collection and timely submission of reports. Assists with the yearly audit.
5. Administers scheduled payroll, employee benefits and payment of all necessary taxes.
6. Maintains Agency bank account information - checking and savings accounts - and prepare any loan documentation. Ensures appropriate cash flow for each month.
7. Reviews all related accounts, supervise prepaid expenses and deposits and maintain supporting schedules on all accounts. Reconciles General Ledger accounts monthly.
8. Reviews and oversees Accounts and Grants Receivables and Accounts and Grants Payable. Develop systems for monitoring cash handling.
9. Prepares all funding reports.
10. Prepares projections report for monthly Child Enrollments.
11. Updates as requested Policy and Procedure Handbook for Fiscal Department.
12. Participates in developing and facilitating fiscal goals, objectives and systems.
13. Assists the Executive Director to communicate HR policies, programs and laws.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
1. At least 2 years of experience working in accounting field
2. Understanding and good command of Accrual Accounting rules
3. Degree or Certification in Accounting (preferred)
4. Excellent technical abilities with solid skills in Excel required
5. Must be organized, detail orientated with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
6. Ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures
7. Flexible, team player with high integrity and a positive “can do” attitude
